While we won't be submitting Amelia's application to Julliard just yet, her passion for dance has come alive!
Today was her first "performance" - a recital of Cinderella... five Cinderellas to be exact. (No one wanted to be a step-sister!) Can't say there was a great deal of dancing, but there were many chasses, arabesque attempts, runs across the stage, and smiles - lots of thrilled smiles.

It was helpful to know the story of Cinderella to follow the dance. And, boy, do the Brinsons know the story of Cinderella... at least the Disney version. I think my favorite part was when the mice turned into horses to pull the carriage to the ball. Each dancer got a chance to play the lead role, so we got to watch five renditions of "going to the ball." Amelia barely made it into her carriage (see video below).
At one point - during the dance, Amelia took a break to come over and tell us that she was now a "mice." Sweet giggles could be heard throughout the audience. (When I say "audience" think six other proud parents.)

Lucky for us, Amelia is signed up for another week of ballet camp in July - Twelve Dancing Princesses. Can't wait for that recital!
